Care

Katie Rose Jewellery is handmade with love and we know you’re going to want to keep it looking amazing as ever, so here's a couple of tips to do so;
Avoid wearing your jewellery in chlorinated pools or spa pools as the chemicals can wear down/erode the metal over time, it can also accelerate tarnishing of the metals leaving them looking dull or black.
Tarnishing as a result of oxidation to the metal can occur from exposure to sulphur and certain acids also. Oxidised jewellery will need to be re-polished.
Avoid perfumes, cosmetics, showering and cleaning products while wearing your jewellery  - again the chemicals can wear the metal down over time.
Remove jewellery when participating in any activities where you will rub your jewellery against anything hard, playing sports, going to the gym, gardening etc. as this will lead to scratching and wearing down of the metal.
Even friction of bedsheets can over time wear down the surface of your jewellery. We recommend you store your jewellery away when not wearing ideally in its box or a soft pouch separately as to avoid scratching against other items and chains tangling.

Always protect your jewellery from sharp blows, scratching, chemicals, sunlight and heat/cold.

Clean your jewellery regularly with a soft polishing cloth or use a professional jewellery cleaning product.

- if you have any questions on how to look after / clean your jewellery please do not hesitate to get in contact with us and we will happily assist.
