Bespoke
Katie Rose offers the service of creating custom made pieces, truly unique and personal to you.
Working with you, the client on a one on one basis, being involved through the whole process from the design stages through to the final product.
Each piece is hand made therefore having the ability to alter the design as it progresses if desired.
Katie Rose is able to source stones and metal required as well as being able to reuse gemstones you may already have. Also is able to recycle most metals from pre-loved jewels to create something new.
My Process
A thoughtful and collaborative journey — honouring your story and celebrating the beauty of the handmade.
1. Begin with a Whisper
Whether you’ve fallen in love with one of my designs or are dreaming up something entirely new, it all begins with a conversation. You’re invited to share the story behind your idea — the sentiment, inspiration, or heirloom stones — and the feeling you’d like your piece to hold.
2. A Warm Conversation
We’ll connect via email, phone, or in person (if you’re local to Tasmania). I’ll gently guide you through the possibilities — from metals and stones to design style and symbolism — ensuring we create something that feels truly yours.
3. Sourcing with Soul
If you’re after a special gemstone, I’ll source a selection of ethically sourced options, from natural and lab-grown diamonds to sapphires and beyond. Or, if you have a stone you’d love to reuse, I’m always happy to incorporate something meaningful.
4. Sketch & Refine
Once I understand your vision, I’ll create a hand-drawn sketch to bring it to life. From there, we’ll refine the design together — adjusting any detail until it feels just right. When you’re happy, I’ll send through a quote and an estimated timeline. A 50% deposit secures your bespoke piece and begins the making.
5. Crafted by Hand
Your piece is lovingly handcrafted in my Tasmanian studio over 6–12 weeks. Every detail is shaped using traditional techniques and a wabi-sabi sensibility — embracing organic textures and quiet imperfections that make each piece one of a kind. I’ll share gentle updates throughout the process.
6. Reveal & Celebrate
When your piece is complete, it’s ready to collect or ship. Whether we meet in person or from afar, this is a special moment — the unveiling of a piece that holds your story in gold. Final payment is due before collection or dispatch.

A Diamond, Chosen Just for You
No two love stories are alike—and no two diamonds should be either. When you commission a bespoke piece with me, your diamond is selected not just for its beauty on paper, but for the way it catches the light, the way it feels.
I handpick a small collection of stones just for you—each one chosen for its harmony of clarity, colour, character, and fire. From this curated selection, you’ll choose the diamond that speaks to your heart. A stone that will become part of your story.
My standard is always high: I use only diamonds with SI1 clarity or better, and G colour or above—balancing brilliance with warmth and value. For smaller stones, I use only FG-coloured diamonds with SI clarity, ensuring even the tiniest sparkle is full of light.
This process is slow and considered—just as it should be. Together, we’ll find the perfect stone to set the tone for your one-of-a-kind piece.
